Zelda at its best
Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64 is one of the most acclaimed games of all time. It's no wonder that Nintendo has re-released the game a few times. But never has the game been polished, they left it as it was... Until now! Nintendo has not only improved the graphics, but the game is now also in 3D and the controls have been significantly revamped! I have to say, this is truly the best version of Ocarina of Time. The graphics pop off the screen, they are so sharp! And the controls work much better now because switching items, etc. is all done via the touchscreen. You can also use the motion sensor for aiming with, for example, your slingshot, making targeting enemies much more precise and faster. These are truly fantastic improvements to an already amazing game, making it simply perfect. It's just a shame that the music has remained the same. I would have liked to see orchestral music, as the 3DS can easily handle it, as shown in the end credits. But well, perhaps The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D would lose its charm...
In any case, this is a must-have for every 3DS owner. Especially if you have never played the game before.

Legendary!
Man, what a magnificent game this is! From the first minute I started up The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, I was immediately drawn into the magical world of Hyrule. You navigate your way from one dungeon to another by solving various puzzles, all with the goal of rescuing Princess Zelda and Hyrule from the evil clutches of Ganondorf.

It's simply delightful to wander through Hyrule where the people are always cheerful and friendly towards you. And the music is just so good! I'm not usually a fan of classical music, but it fits incredibly well with this game. Every time I hear a tune from The Legend of Zelda series now, it takes me back to those wonderful times I experienced with this game. I'll even go as far as to say, it gives me goosebumps! This feeling is like no other game out there.

Action and adventure using your noggin
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is quite possibly the best Zelda game I've ever played. The game combines action and adventure with using your noggin to solve the many puzzles.
This makes the game more enjoyable, as you can't just breeze through everything in a snap.
The 3DS version is far superior to the original, the touchscreen makes it easier to select items, and the graphics and the 3D effect are breathtaking.
An adventure that will stay with you for a long time! A definite recommendation.

Beautiful, but not "the perfect Zelda"
Ocarina of Time 3D is a beautiful 3D remake of an N64 classic, which is still a good game today, but there are things that indicate the game's age; the size of Hyrule is no longer as impressive as it once was, and the game has very few sidequests compared to other Zelda titles.

Beautiful Zelda game
I own many Zelda games, so this one cannot be missing. This is actually true for every Zelda fan, you must have this in your collection or at the very least have played it! The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is a challenging game that requires you to really sit down and focus. The style of the game fits the Zelda series and the music is once again beautifully nostalgic. All in all, a true Zelda game.

An unforgettable adventure with Link!
Wow, what a story. What items and characters, just fantastic. Experience a story with Link that you will never forget! And now also in 3D!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is a remake of the Nintendo 64 classic Ocarina of Time. Not much has changed, but one important thing has. The world now looks even more beautiful compared to the Nintendo 64 version.

Like every Zelda game, this game has temples and dungeons. These have puzzles and riddles that you need to solve to progress. At the end, there is always a boss (sometimes there's also a mini-boss) that you have to defeat. You always need a specific item or weapon to collect those bosses. Oh, and in every dungeon or temple, there's also a special item to find.

What I think is the coolest in this game are the songs you can play on your ocarina. I think the 'Requiem of Spirit' is the coolest song of them all. You can also travel through time. Pull out the Master Sword from the anvil, and you'll travel 7 years into the future, put it back into the anvil and travel 7 years back.

This game is packed with action and adventure and is a must-have for 3DS owners.

The only downside in my opinion: I feel there is a lack of innovations. But well, the most important thing for me in a game is if I can enjoy playing it. And I can say with great enthusiasm that I have enjoyed this game! The game doesn't deserve a 10 in my opinion, but still a solid 8.9.

A top-notch Zelda game
Ocarina of Time is known as one of the best Zelda games and was originally a Nintendo 64 game.

This remake makes this amazing game even better. The graphics have been updated, making the game look better. There have also been other small adjustments made that could have been better in the original game. For example, aiming with the bow or slingshot has been improved, and the Iron Boots have become an item instead of gear, making it possible to solve the Water Temple a bit faster.

Hours of fun are guaranteed with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

Ultimate way to play this classic
The way to play The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. Being able to place items on your touch screen for quick equipping makes you stare so much less at your inventory.

The graphics have received a fantastic upgrade, and everything looks much better in 3D. Houses are covered with cool posters and details. The addition of the hint system is cleverly done. This way, new players can complete the game without any issues, without having to search online for walkthroughs. Because sometimes solutions can be a bit far-fetched or unclear (for new players, veterans of course already know all the tricks)

Unfortunately, Hyrule Field still feels as empty as in the original. There simply isn't much to do. But overall, this is the definitive version to play the game.

Best version of Ocarina of Time
What can I say about Ocarina of Time that hasn't been said already? This game is considered one of the best games of all time and is now playable on the 3DS with updated graphics. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D plays wonderfully on the 3DS and can be called the best version of this game. A few things have been added to this 3DS version; you can now switch items using the touch screen and after completing the normal game, you can play the more challenging Master Quest.
However, I have two issues with this game that not everyone may agree with. Firstly, I find the NPCs boring and quite lifeless because they don't really have anything special to say. Secondly, I don't find the areas you visit very creative. You visit a mountain, forest, castle, etc. You could encounter these in a Mario game as well. Fortunately, both of these issues were resolved in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

Zelda is back
When I was young (between 4 and 7), I (well, my mother and brother) played a lot of Zelda Ocarina of Time, and I really loved it.
And now Zelda is back! (Unfortunately not a new Zelda, but the best Zelda. What is really fun about it now is that there is also a mirror mode. This is quite copied from Luigi's Mansion, namely the Hidden Mansion (where every room is mirrored and there are many more ghosts in the rooms).
But all in all, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is a successful lady.

Great game for the handheld!
It's always nice when developers breathe new life into an old game. The graphics look a lot better, but they have kept the gameplay true to how it was in the past. The controls have been improved, along with some features utilizing the touch screen.

This game is perfect for collectors or for those who have never played the old The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for the N64.

Refreshing Graphic Enhancements and Intuitive Gameplay
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for the Nintendo 3DS is a revamped version of one of the best games ever, adapted with improved graphics and new features that make optimal use of the 3DS capabilities. The game remains true to the original, but with some updates and graphical improvements, it feels like a modern experience.

In Ocarina of Time, you follow Link, a young boy from the Kokiri Forest, on his epic journey to save the world of Hyrule from the evil Ganondorf. The story takes Link through various eras, allowing him to explore important temples, mysterious areas, and encounter various creatures. The storyline is iconic and is one of the best in the Zelda series. The combination of mystery, adventure, and Link's growth from a child to a hero makes it an unforgettable experience.

The gameplay of Ocarina of Time is a mix of puzzles, exploration, and combat that are all carefully designed. It introduced revolutionary mechanics during the Nintendo 64 era, such as Z-targeting, which allowed you to aim at enemies or objects during battles. This system has been retained in this remake and ensures a smooth and intuitive gaming experience.

This version makes use of the 3DS touchscreen for managing equipment, maps, and items, making it much quicker and easier to switch between items. This reduces the hassle of pausing the game to change weapons or items, which is a nice improvement for the flow. Additionally, you can aim using the 3DS's gyroscope function when using the bow, slingshot, or other items, making aiming more precise and realistic.

Another advantage is the addition of the Sheikah Stones, which contain hint videos for those stuck in the game. This option provides newcomers with a bit of help without simplifying the gaming experience for seasoned Zelda fans.

One of the most striking improvements in Ocarina of Time 3D is the revamped graphics. The world of Hyrule looks brighter, sharper, and more colourful than ever before. Characters and environments are more detailed and have a lovely new look that breathes new life into old Hyrule. The transition to 3D adds depth to the environments and brings iconic locations, such as Hyrule Field, Kokiri Forest, and the Temple of Time, beautifully to life.

The soundtrack, composed by the legendary Koji Kondo, remains a masterpiece and features classic tunes that you'll never forget. The sound has been enhanced for the 3DS version, making the music and sound effects sound even better. From the cheerful melodies of Kakariko Village to the ominous music in the Shadow Temple, the music enhances the atmosphere of each location and situation.

Ocarina of Time 3D also includes a Master Quest mode once you complete the game for the first time. This is a harder version of the game where everything is mirrored and all enemies are twice as strong. This offers a fresh challenge for veterans looking for a new experience after completing the regular game.

The difficulty of the original is just right, with challenging puzzles and enemies, and this holds true for this remake as well. The Sheikah Stones make it more accessible for less experienced gamers, making it suitable for a wider audience, which is only a good thing.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is more than just a simple remake; it is a tribute to one of the best games of all time and introduces a new generation to Link's epic adventure. For anyone wanting to experience this classic adventure in an enhanced and portable form, Ocarina of Time 3D is a must-have. It strikes the perfect balance between nostalgia and innovation and shows why it has been a highlight in the gaming world for over 25 years. It is a timeless masterpiece!

How can I use the Lens of Truth without using my magic meter on the 3DS?
Timtamtomg

With the Lens of Truth, you can see all sorts of things that aren’t visible in reality. You’ll need this quite a bit in the later temples of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. However, it does use up your magic meter. If you use it for too long, the meter will run out, and you won’t be able to use it for a while, which is quite annoying. So here’s a handy tip: If you assign the lens to a touchscreen button, you can use it without draining your magic meter by tapping it briefly! You won’t be activating it fully, but you can still see through it. Very useful! Just keep in mind that it doesn’t work if you’re climbing, for example.

In the same year that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D was released, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword also came out. Nintendo felt that this shouldn't go unnoticed. That's why they hid some posters of Skyward Sword throughout the game. An example of this can be seen at the end of the video below.

In Ocarina of Time, you can obtain a massive, powerful sword called Biggoron's Sword by trading certain items. You can see exactly how to do this in this video of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. By the way, it's best not to buy the Giant's Knife from Medigoron in the meantime, as it functions exactly the same as the Biggoron Sword but breaks after just one hit against a hard surface. To completely skip the Gerudo Training Ground, where you can find the Ice Arrows, and get the Ice Arrows straight away in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, you need to cleverly use your Hookshot in the room where the chest with the Arrows is located to activate a glitch. You can see exactly how to do this in the video below.

At certain points in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, you'll need Deku Sticks, which you can set on fire to light things like lanterns. After a while, the Stick will burn out, and you'll lose it. However, if you put the Stick away using A, it will simply extinguish, allowing you to use it again later. This way, you'll never have to be without Deku Sticks!

If you need to cover a long distance without Epona, you can turn 180 degrees away from your target and hold down the L button. When you do this, you'll be looking away from where you want to go. Then, as you walk backwards towards your goal, you'll move twice as fast as you normally would in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

If you use the Hookshot on the right section of the ceiling in Ganon's Castle in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, you'll find yourself in a black, unloaded space next to the stairs in Ganon's Castle. In this video, you can see exactly how to pull this off.

What is the doomspring glitch and how do you execute it?
Bramd de Groot

A doom jump is a jump that launches you ridiculously high into the air, after which you often end up getting stuck somewhere or even underground. You can perform this by pressing L, activating your hookshot, pressing up on the D-pad, and then releasing both the D-pad and hookshot. As soon as you do that, you also need to equip the hover boots or iron boots. Below is a compilation of someone demonstrating this several times in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D.

Easter Eggs and Glitches:
How do you use the Farore's Wind glitch in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D?
Bramd de Groot
39210
If you want to use Farore's Wind wherever you like, you need to set Farore's Wind to one button (in a location where you normally can't use it) and an item that you can use to another button. Then, go to the menu, swap the items, and as soon as you exit the menu, you need to PRESS the button where Farore's Wind is now. You've now created a save point for Farore's Wind, and you can warp to this spot from anywhere in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. A fun little trick: if you warp to Castle Town, just after the bridge, you can see this area, which you normally view from above, from the front! Unfortunately, there will be a lot of black emptiness visible...
