This game is a must-have for JRPG fans!
This was the game that introduced me to the Tales series, and I definitely don't regret this purchase. What I particularly love about this game is the amazing story, with several unexpected plot twists.
The combat system (which takes some getting used to at the beginning) is really cool because you can create multiple combos and choose which moves your character should or shouldn't learn. There are incredibly many side quests, which encourage you to do a second playthrough.
Read more...In short, Tales of the Abyss is a very good JRPG (Japanese Role Playing Game) that you really shouldn't miss out on. The only downside is that this game is definitely not for everyone; the story is quite complex and there is a very steep learning curve, but despite that, in my opinion, this game is one of the best in the series. A true Tales game
Tales of the Abyss is an RPG with engaging playable characters that keep you coming back for more. The battles are real-time and reminiscent of traditional fighter games. Your team consists of 4 characters and you get to choose who to control.
This game may be 5 years old (a port from the PS2) but that doesn't matter. It plays amazingly and is fantastic! Cijfer:

Decent port overall
This port of this legendary game tries its best to do justice to the original. And in many ways, it certainly succeeds.
The fact remains, however, that you're playing a game on a screen that doesn't do justice to the grandeur of the game. Also, details like longer loading times, cutting of content, and the absence of the so-called 'title library' make you enjoy it less than you would expect.
Nevertheless, even in this form, you can still see why Tales of the Abyss is considered one of the best entries in the series. And that's certainly worth a lot. Cijfer:

You'll enter the Grade Shop where you can purchase various extras with the Grade you earned during your playthrough. For instance, you can get a permanent 10*XP boost from battles! You unlock AD (or Advanced) Skills by reaching a certain level of the stat bonus you receive from a Capacity Core in Tales of the Abyss. Secrets: How do you find the secret shop in Tales of the Abyss? You can only find the secret shop in Tales of the Abyss after you've completely filled the Collector's Book. To do this, you'll need to complete the game at least twice. Once the book is full, speak to the man in the purple clothing, and he will give Jade a title. Talk to him again, and the shop will open up at the Inn. Secrets: What are Capacity Cores and what bonuses do they provide in Tales of the Abyss? Capacity Cores give you an extra bonus when you level up in Tales of the Abyss. There are plenty to find, each offering a different bonus.
