Good, but I feel like something is missing..;
I love the Paper Mario series. They are full of humor, enjoyable to play, and yet they tell their own story in a beautiful way. Paper Mario: Sticker Star is no exception. I find the game addictive, but I did find its predecessors a bit more addictive. In the previous versions, there was often a lot of time taken to explain the story and show funny cutscenes. In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, the idea is that you really take the time to think about the puzzles and figure out how to complete a certain stage or world.

The game is indeed quite creative compared to its predecessors (although its predecessors were also very creative!). The use of stickers in an environment can turn everything upside down! It's a very enjoyable game, but I do miss the overdose of humor from the previous games.

Sticker-tastic!
Paper Mario: Sticker Star is an amazing game. The story is fun, especially the stickers add a lot, which is ultimately what the game revolves around. It's especially enjoyable to collect all the stickers in the museum. Furthermore, the graphics are beautiful, it really looks like everything is made of paper and cardboard. A top game indeed!

You'll get completely stuck on this game!
Amazing! It's another delightful Mario game. The one on the Gamecube was fantastic, but now it's incredibly expensive. Paper Mario on the Wii was also great, and now finally one for a handheld console! The stickers are a fun and new addition to Paper Mario: Sticker Star. The story is well put together and the visual design of the game is also fantastic! The details are very nice. The difficulty level of the game is actually perfect, for me at least. Not too hard and not too easy. You won't breeze through it in an hour, but you also won't get stuck on a part for hours. Fun for young and old! And of course, the true Mario fan.

Good, but not worthy of Paper Mario
Paper Mario: Sticker Star is a good game. The stickers are a very original idea and... Well, that's about it.

The issue I have with this game is that Sticker Star doesn't feel like a Paper Mario game. The deep story, the great gameplay, the interesting characters: none of these are present in this game. The story is simply Bowser kidnapping Peach and you having to rescue her, but unlike the very first Paper Mario game (where that was also the case), the locations you visit are not special, there are only regular characters that you find in any Mario game.

Fighting enemies, except for bosses, is pointless as you only get coins for it. The bosses, on the other hand, can be defeated way too easily with a Thing sticker, which deals way too much damage. Stickers are everywhere and so be prepared for an excess.

If you love Mario and want to get to know Paper Mario, then Sticker Star is the game for you. If you are an experienced Paper Mario player and want a game that lives up to the Paper Mario name, then I cannot recommend Sticker Star to you.

Stickers Make the Man
In this new installment of Paper Mario, some things have changed. Stickers now play a role in the game. They are used in battles, to solve puzzles, and much more. This definitely makes the game innovative, but whether it's better remains to be seen. I often read that Nintendo shouldn't have added stickers to Paper Mario. However, I find it to be a fun addition. It now looks less like previous games in the series, such as Super Paper Mario for the Wii.

The stickers do slow down the pace of battles, which is a bit of a shame. But you also need to take your time choosing the right stickers. You can't use them endlessly. You have to find or buy them yourself. Once you run out of stickers, things don't look good.

The 3D effect is really good and fits well with these types of 3DS games. The depth is very noticeable, especially since everything is essentially flat.

I understand why some would have preferred this game to be different, but I am very satisfied. And for those of you who haven't played Paper Mario: Sticker Star yet, you can't judge it. Give it a try and see what you think because this game is definitely not bad. I say, "GO FOR IT!"

New direction, yet brilliant
With Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Nintendo wanted to take a different direction with the paper concept. Paper Mario was never truly an RPG, but this one strays far from the beaten path. This led to a lot of criticism from true fans, but for me, this is by far the best part of the series, and it needed this change to remain innovative and fresh.

First and foremost, the biggest change: Now, to attack, you must use a sticker, which can only be used once, so it requires strategy to choose the right one and not waste any. I actually appreciated this gameplay. Another change in direction is that the game is now divided into levels, similar to the New Super Mario Bros series. It makes the game much more structured and somewhat more linear, although the levels are still very creative.

Since this game was released for the 3DS, the developers had a great opportunity to really do something with the graphics. They certainly succeeded. The 3D is stunning and definitely adds value to the gameplay. The paper concept is ideal for the beautiful 3D effects, and especially on the 3DS XL, it's truly a delight.
The game is still quirky and humorous. So, it won't get boring quickly, and you'll want to keep playing. The only downside is that the sticker concept can be quite hindering, especially when facing bosses. These bosses are practically impossible without a certain sticker that you need to find in levels. If you don't have this sticker with you, or haven't found it yet, you could end up getting very stuck.
All in all, Paper Mario Sticker Star is a successful game. Even though it's more challenging than other games, and the difficulty doesn't always come from a fair challenge, it's still a good game that, once you get into it, can provide many hours of enjoyment.

Changed, yet more original!
Paper Mario: Sticker Star is indeed a change from the previous Paper Marios, but perhaps that's for the better. They do need to stay original, of course. Now they leave the thinking to you, which I'm a big fan of. Figuring everything out yourself is much more fun, isn't it? I really enjoy this game and I'm happy that it's on the 3DS! It's quite addictive and very enjoyable, I definitely recommend it!

Super fun
Paper Mario: Sticker Star is truly a very fun game, now with the stickers it's a bit different but Paper Mario is very enjoyable.
I've played every Paper Mario game and this one is really good, plus it's available for the 3DS which marks the first time Paper Mario has made its way to a portable system.

Top game!
This is a great Paper Mario game on the 3DS. In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, you collect stickers to defeat your opponents. The battle system works as follows: you take a turn, then it's your opponent's turn. It's very easy to understand. There are different worlds to explore and stickers to collect. There is no multiplayer in this game, but that's understandable. Furthermore, the bosses are very enjoyable and the level design is very creative. The puzzles in the game are also very fun to solve. In short, this game is definitely recommended.
