A real gem, even for newcomers to the Monster Hunter series.
Amazing game, in a completely different style compared to the previous Monster Hunter titles. Made much more accessible, and from the very first moment, you actually don't want to stop playing.
Where I struggled to get into the other Monster Hunter games and quickly abandoned them, Monster Hunter Stories captivates me from the get-go, providing a whole new experience that occasionally even reminds me of Pokémon. The battling with Monsties and collecting them bears strong similarities, but never to the point of feeling like a ripoff.
All in all, a real recommendation for every 3DS owner, this JRPG plays wonderfully.
