At first, this game didn't really grab me, but if you spend an hour with it, it quickly becomes very addictive! Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate features over 200 missions and around 75 monsters. There are also many different types of weapons such as knives, axes, guns, etc.
The goal of the game is simple: hunt monsters and collect items to become stronger and defeat even bigger monsters. The monsters behave like real animals and not like computer animals. The monsters don't have a health bar above their heads, so you don't know how long they'll last, making it a lot more challenging. The only way to see if they're getting weaker is by observing if they start limping and acting clumsier. This adds an extra layer of challenge to the game.
The environments are beautifully crafted. In Monster Hunter 3, you can also play with 4 players at the same time. Some monsters can't be defeated alone, you'll need others to help. Unfortunately, the game doesn't have an internet connection. Luckily, they also thought about those who don't have friends with a 3DS, and you get a computer-controlled player to join you on certain missions.
Expect to spend more than 200 hours gaming before you finish the game! It's no wonder that the PSP became popular in Japan because of the first Monster Hunter game. Cijfer:

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the Nintendo 3DS offers me an immersive experience filled with intense battles and deep strategic elements. The game builds on the solid foundation of the Monster Hunter franchise, featuring a wide selection of monsters and impressive combat mechanics that constantly challenge you to improve your skills. What struck me most was the satisfaction I felt after each successful hunt. It takes a lot of precision and strategy to defeat the large monsters, and it truly feels like a victory when you succeed.
The controls on the 3DS take some getting used to, especially if you’re not using the Circle Pad Pro. Fortunately, the touchscreen shortcuts help keep everything under control during battles. The graphics are impressive for a Nintendo 3DS game. Although the framerate can occasionally dip, the adventure still feels epic. The visual style and environments allow you to fully immerse yourself in the world, which is essential for me in a game like this.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is especially fun to play with others. Although the online multiplayer is unfortunately missing in the 3DS version, the local co-op option more than makes up for it. Assembling a team and working together strategically to take down monsters adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the game. When I go hunting with my friends, it makes the experience even more exciting and engaging. All in all, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is a fantastic addition to the Nintendo 3DS library for anyone who enjoys a good challenge. Cijfer:

One of the best games on the 3DS
The Monster Hunter franchise has been around for several years. And it has been perfected more and more. This is clearly visible in mh3u!!! The game plays amazingly and the graphics are perfect! Beautiful game, great gameplay, and hours of fun
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is amazing; as a little boy, I always dreamed of defeating big monsters with cool weapons. In this game, you can do just that with hammers and bows! You craft these weapons yourself and then battle against, for example, a fire dragon or a water creature that shoots lightning. Flying and swimming, nothing is too crazy in this game.
What's even better is that after the story, there's so much more to do that you easily get at least 500 hours of gameplay. The difficulty level is also nicely high, so you won't just breeze through the game. Cijfer:

Grab a G-rank hammer.
Now head to Uragaan on low rank in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and knock him down to mine his back.

If you have 2 monsters, like deviljho and duramboros, just let them go at it for about 5 minutes. They’ll hit each other and deal damage in the process.
The only combination that doesn’t work is deviljho against the querupeco.
