Masterpiece full of surprising situations and fun challenges! Dream Team Bros was released in the Year of Luigi. This is reflected in the Dreamy Luigi's and Luiginary Works. You can collect the Dreamy Luigi's and then attack your enemies with huge numbers. The Luiginary Works allow you to do things in the dream world by teasing the sleeping Luigi on the bottom screen. Pull his mustache, for example, and he dreams that Mario is being pulled up by his mustache.
This RPG is wonderfully designed and has many familiar old elements that still provide fun challenges and surprising situations. This Mario and, of course, Luigi RPG is a masterpiece!Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. Cijfer:

One of the Best Mario RPGs After the almost perfect Bowser's Inside Story, everyone was extremely curious about how the new Mario & Luigi on the 3DS would turn out. The expectations were exceeded: a completely new graphic style, interesting new characters and areas to explore, and gameplay that mainly builds on that of its predecessor, and of course, the (sometimes literally) big role that Luigi plays with his dreams. Those dreams remind me a lot of Bowser's body from the previous game: you can influence it from the outside world. Dream Team Bros. is an extremely good game with perhaps a bit too many tutorials and can certainly be called one of the best Mario RPGs.Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. Cijfer:
9,8A full-fledged top title, the complete M&L RPG everyone has been waiting for. It was a while before the next Mario & Luigi RPG came out. But it was definitely worth the wait. The game has become a true 3DS gem and offers great value for your money. Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. can definitely be considered a "must-have" in my book.
A key aspect of the Mario & Luigi series is the story. As always, it is very extensive and full of unexpected twists. With its depth, the game is packed with quests meant for the two plumbers in two worlds. Luigi has the ability to fall into such a deep sleep that a dream portal to Dreamy World opens up. This allows Mario to travel to Dreamy World and ensure they can continue in the real world, and this system is well developed. Read more...
In the real world, the battle system works the same as before. In Dreamy World, it's a bit different because Mario can perform special attacks with Dreamy Luigi. I think this is a clever addition that brings variety to the battles. It keeps you motivated and can be quite challenging. That's what I appreciate about the series.
The game looks stunning graphically. The worlds are very vibrant, and being able to play this installment in 3D finally completes the game. This is what an RPG should be. A good story, beautiful presentation, challenge, variety, and innovation. This title meets all these criteria and is a must-have for every 3DS owner. It offers enjoyment for both hardcore gamers and beginners alike! Hide. Cijfer:
10 Read more reviews. An Extremely Successful RPG Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros.is not just your average role-playing game with Mario characters thrown in. The game grabs hold of you and only lets go after about 40 hours of fun. The game still maintains a humorous tone, but it doesn't bother at all. It gives the game its typical charm, which it has managed to hold onto since the GBA days. This is probably, after Pokémon X, the best RPG I have ever played. So, a huge recommendation. Cijfer:

One of the better RPGs on the 3DS After playing Bowser's Inside Story, I was looking forward to the sequel. In 2013, they released Mario and Luigi: Dream Team Bros, which became my most played 3DS game. I just replayed the game to see if it's still as great as before.
The plot starts as simple as can be, Peach is invited to Pi'illo Island and of course, Mario and Luigi tag along. Half an hour after her arrival, she gets kidnapped, and Mario and Luigi have to rescue her, all the usual stuff. After saving her, Luigi opens the dream world and Peach gets kidnapped AGAIN, but this time into the dream world. This is where the game really kicks off. You meet the Dreamy Prince, Bowser makes his way to the island, and there's even a brand-new villain. I won't spoil too much of the story for those who haven't played the game yet. Read more...
The battles are easy to learn for beginners and become quite challenging later on. You usually need some time to recognize your opponents' attack patterns. The music is one of the best parts of Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros., it sometimes feels like you're in the dream world or walking around a castle. I even have the soundtrack on my laptop so I can listen to it anytime.
The game is truly amazing, the story is suitable for younger players, but not so much that young adults find it too childish. You can rematch the bosses in the battle ring. There are many extra collectibles, like badges, bonus missions, and special equipment. It's one of the best RPGs I've played. Maybe even better than the Pokemon games! Hide. Cijfer:

Fun new addition to the Mario & Luigi series Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. is the fourth handheld RPG featuring Mario and Luigi in the lead roles. Bowsers Inside Story, the previous installment in the series, is considered one of the best games for the original DS. So, it's great news that Dream Team Bros. expands mainly on Bowsers Inside Story.
This time around, there are two different gameplay styles; you'll spend most of your time on Pi'illo Island, where the focus is on traditional turn-based RPG battles. Just like in previous installments, you can deal more damage or dodge attacks by pressing the A or B button at the right moment, making enemy turns suspenseful as well.
The other gameplay style takes place in Luigi's dreams. These segments are played in 2D and focus more on platforming than combat. Through clever use of the touchscreen, you can manipulate Luigi in the real world to progress in the dream world. In this dream world, you're accompanied by Dreamy Luigi, who can create hundreds of copies of himself. This is extremely helpful in battles and makes them more spectacular; at times, you may find yourself fighting against thirty enemies at once in Luigi's dreams! Read more...
Like previous installments in the series, this one is also exceptionally well-written: there are countless puns woven into the conversations. I recommend playing the game in English, as the Dutch translators didn't quite manage to convey all these jokes effectively, resulting in dialogues that can sound a bit stiff at times.
All in all, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. is a fun new addition to the series. The game doesn't stray too far from its predecessors, but that's not a big deal since those were already fantastic. Hide. Cijfer:

Also recommended for beginners Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. is a very fun game for the Nintendo 3DS. It starts off easy and gets progressively harder. The battles constantly change, which keeps you engaged in the game and prevents you from getting bored after a while.
Furthermore, you don't get everything right from the start; for each duo attack/Luigigo attack, you first need to collect 10 attack pieces before you can use the attack.
It's also a big game. And if you're having trouble with a battle, there's an easy mode available. It's just a shame that you can't use this in the boss battles. Cijfer:

The Superlative Degree
I've always played the Mario RPGs, and a while back, I ended up with Dream Team. After Bowser's Inside Story, I thought to myself: they really have to do a great job to make another RPG as good as that. Well, they did a great job.
Dream Team is slightly different from the previous games, but you can clearly see how Alphadream kept trying out new things and eventually combined all their research into this game. Read more...
Not only are there fun new "mechanics," like all of Luigi's forms and special attacks in the Dream World, but the regular Bros. Attacks are also new and based on new principles.
The storyline is what you would expect. I think it's one of the strongest in the series because it doesn't just boil down to the standard "conquer the castle" principle. No spoilers, but it's enjoyable.
I find the characters in the game to be super strong. Big Massif and Lil' Massif are truly two characters whose dialogues I enjoy listening to. Antasma is a good villain, even though Fawful from the previous game is also a well-developed character.
All in all, I could easily spend a whole afternoon playing it. Lots of unique worlds, great music, and unique/funny characters. I definitely enjoyed the game and have played it multiple times. Hide. Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. Cijfer:
9,5New game, brand new adventure I've always been a fan of the Mario & Luigi RPG series ever since Mario and Luigi Super Star Saga. Always those funny animations they incorporate. The storyline in these Mario games is truly the best of all Mario games. The voices of Mario and Luigi are just fantastic.
Team Bros features new boss battles but in the classic style as in every other Mario RPG. I have to say that Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. had the most creative ideas and looks absolutely stunning.
What is a bit of a shame is that Bowser Jr. doesn't appear in it. I do miss the tunes of that guy in Mario and Luigi Partners in Time. But this game is packed with side quests and collectible items. All in all, those guys at Nintendo have done it again. If you've played games from this series before, this is a real recommendation to purchase. Cijfer:

A fantastic addition to the series. This is a really great game. As the fourth installment in the Mario & Luigi series, Dream Team Bros. is definitely a good successor to the previous 3 and a great step towards the 3DS. As usual, Alphadream, under Nintendo's guidance, has once again created a very good Mario & Luigi RPG. This is the first game in the series with full 360-degree movement, thanks to the 3DS circle pad. The music sets the right atmosphere in every scenario, cheerful when needed, bombastic when danger looms. The atmosphere and graphics are also superb, along with the story, characters, and dialogue and comedy. Luigi once again plays a major role, as he is the key to entering Dream World. It's fantastic, although the story segments can sometimes drag a bit and there are quite a few tutorials. However, the battles are really fun and come in 3 forms. Firstly, the regular battles, which have remained almost the same, only now with 3D items. Then there are the battles in the dream world where you have to fight more enemies but also have more Luigis. And lastly, there are the giant battles which are much better than those in Bowser's Inside Story.Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros. Cijfer:

9,0Perfect!! Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros.is truly a wonderful game for your Nintendo 3DS. This game revolves around Mario & Luigi being invited to an island. However, upon their arrival, Princess Peach is once again kidnapped by Bowser, but this time also by Antasma. Save Princess Peach by taking on all the baddies and solving puzzles. The music in the game is incredibly good and the gameplay is also very solid. The puzzles are creatively and cleverly designed. Additionally, the story is very enjoyable and you truly have a great time playing it. In other words, a perfect game!!! Cijfer:
