Reviews Luigi’s Mansion 2 17 reviews - average rating 8,6Luigi's Mansion 2 is a worthy successor! It's been quite a while since we could go on an adventure with our favorite plumber. And no, this time I'm not talking about Mario, but about his brother Luigi!
In Luigi's Mansion 2, you search in dark mansions for pieces of the Dark Moon. It has been shattered by King Boo, causing the adorable ghosts of Professor E. Gadd to no longer be so sweet. They will do everything to hinder our Luigi. It's up to you to outsmart them and suck them up with your powerful Poltergust 5000. Read more...
The original Luigi's Mansion for the GameCube was rather short. This is no longer the case in Luigi's Mansion 2. Instead of 1 mansion, they have chosen to include five mansions in the game. This works out very well and provides the necessary variety.
In addition to a successful single player mode, Luigi's Mansion 2 also features a multiplayer mode. Here, you play with three other Luigis in three different game modes. All these game modes are equally fun and will ensure that you can get some extra hours of gameplay out of the game. Hide. Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:

Better than the original. Luigi's Mansion 2 is a very exciting, funny, and enjoyable game. The most fun part for me is being able to vacuum up ghosts with your Poltergust 5000. This game looks very beautiful and sharp. There are also small movies in between, and they are very enjoyable!
There are all kinds of worlds and puzzles. The puzzles are fun but some are difficult. Sometimes I find myself pondering what to do with such a puzzle. But most of them are manageable and fun to solve! Read more...
The ghosts are very funny. They often hide in various objects like a closet, a bed, or an oven. They are not hard to find because sometimes they appear out of nowhere behind you! When they hide, for example, you have to open a closet and they will come out on their own. Then you have to vacuum them up quickly.
Of course, there are also bosses, most of which are difficult to defeat. All bosses are unique and look great. Before you reach a boss, you have to solve some puzzles, of course.
It's also very cool that you can look around with your 3DS! When you look into a hole in the wall, you can see it up close and look around by rotating the 3DS. This way, you can discover more and more new secrets and solve new puzzles!
Truly an amazing game and highly recommended to play! Hide. Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:

Surprisingly good game This is the first Luigi's Mansion I've played, and I was actually a bit surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The humor is spot on, and the gameplay is also very enjoyable. The game also looks really good.
In Luigi's Mansion 2, you, as Luigi, explore different mansions to find the pieces of the Dark Moon that King Boo has shattered. Because the Dark Moon is broken, the ghosts become 'aggressive'. It's up to Luigi to calm the ghosts by restoring the Dark Moon. Read more...

8,5 Read more reviews.Great successor, good gameplay, and amazing multiplayer! Finally, the sequel to the fantastic GameCube classic Luigi's Mansion is here. In this year of Luigi, Luigi takes over the lead role from Mario, and the year kicked off with Luigi's Mansion 2.
Many gamers have been eagerly awaiting this follow-up to the well-known Luigi's Mansion. The scaredy-cat sets out on an investigation for Professor E. Gadd (K. Wibus in Dutch) in multiple mansions. After the Dark Moon was shattered by King Boo, the ghosts being studied by E. Gadd suddenly turn malevolent and wreak havoc in the lab. Luigi is brought to the bunker with the Pixelator. And so, the ghost hunting can finally begin.
The controls may be a bit challenging for beginners, but you'll get the hang of it quickly. In the beginning, you'll learn to handle everything one by one as it comes up. This does make everything a bit slow, and the first mission takes a long time. Speaking of missions, Luigi's Mansion 2 has adopted a mission-based structure. I find this disappointing. I would have preferred the freedom to roam the mansions. The missions are quite lengthy, making short gaming sessions, for which a handheld is designed, impractical. This quickly diminishes motivation.
Are you still motivated? Or perhaps not? Then give the AMAZ-ING multiplayer a try. As a team of 4 Luigis, you battle the ScareScraper. On each floor, you must collaborate to capture all the (end)ghosts. This can lead to many fun moments and requires teamwork. Practice your skills first in the Dark Moon mission.
The game looks stunning (in 3D) and alternates between scary and funny moments. This helps keep you somewhat motivated, which has a positive effect on me. The game also features catchy and addictive tunes. Sometimes you might find yourself humming along with Luigi!
This is a great follow-up to the original Luigi's Mansion. Ghost-catching is quite straightforward. The story becomes more elaborate as you progress through the game. Luigi's Mansion 2 is a must-play. Truly a 3DS gem!Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:

Good game, a few disappointments. Luigi's Mansion... One of my Gamecube favorites, so I was eagerly awaiting this sequel. And it left me a bit disappointed! I have to say that this is truly my own opinion, as many people find this to be a fantastic game, but I don't. I don't know what it is, but for me, this game lacks the magic that the first installment had. Okay, I'll try to explain it as best as I can:
First of all, I find it very unfortunate that in Luigi's Mansion 2 there are missions. You no longer have an open mansion where you stay all the time. No, in this game, you always start from E. Gadd's lab and get "warped" to a specific place in the mansion. Once your mission is completed, you can't continue exploring because you're immediately sent back, and you have to replay the mission. I personally find this very disappointing. Read more... Another thing I find very disappointing is that this time you play in multiple mansions. They all have a different theme, which makes it feel much less "real." Something I didn't experience in the first installment. I also find the controls not optimal; of course, this is very challenging with the 3DS, but I found the controls on the Gamecube much more enjoyable. It all feels very cramped. But of course, I also have positive points about this game; the graphics are GORGEOUS, and the amount of detail the developers put into the mansions and rooms is amazing. The 3D effect is also very nice, and it's a shame to play this in 2D. Additionally, there is a lot to collect, and you will replay levels a few times to get everything. There is also a multiplayer mode this time that can be played offline and online. It's pretty cool, but I didn't feel the urge to play it often, like I do with games like Mario Kart.
I would still recommend the game, don't get me wrong! Especially if you haven't played the first installment. Because I think my issue is that I expect it to be like the first game, and it just isn't. Hide.Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:
7,5Masterpiece Luigi's Mansion 2 is perhaps the best example of what 3D can do to enhance the gaming experience; its stunning 3D immerses you in its five mansions. This game is an absolute masterpiece, filled with quirky details and beautiful environments. I do find it a bit of a shame that the path is already laid out for you, and there isn't as much exploration, but that doesn't take away from the fun. Luigi's Mansion 2 combines puzzles with ghost-catching, making it one of the best and most original 3DS games. For anyone who loves Zelda games, enjoys puzzles and exploration, I can confidently say that this is a worthwhile purchase!Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:

Brilliant game with both great single and multiplayer features 2013 was the year of Luigi, so Nintendo decided to create a sequel to Luigi's Mansion (gamecube). Part 2 is even better than the original!
The game takes place in the Shadow Valley, where Professor K. Wibus resides and investigates paranormal activities. In the valley, friendly ghosts assist K. Wibus. One day, the dark moon is shattered. Its pieces are scattered across the land, turning the ghosts hostile. K. Wibus flees to his lab and asks Luigi for help. Luigi sets out with the Poltergust 5000 to restore the dark moon. Read more...
The missions in the story are well-designed and enjoyable to play. In Luigi's Mansion, you explored only one mansion, whereas in the sequel, you explore multiple mansions. Each one is unique: for instance, there's an old clock tower and an abandoned icy mine. They feature bosses, which are significant to me because they're what keeps me coming back to games. Here, we have Possessor Ghosts that can possess various things. For example, in the first mansion, you have to battle a large possessed spider. All these bosses are super fun, and fighting them never gets boring.
Apart from the story, there's also the ScareScraper (my favorite game mode). In the ScareScraper, you have to climb a tower, and to move to the next floor, you need to vacuum up all the ghosts on the current floor. You can take on the challenge alone or with others. You can play locally or online, and I rarely experience connection issues online; it's very enjoyable to play with others.
Luigi's Mansion 2 is a fantastic game that deserves more attention and is a must-have for anyone who owns a 3DS. Hide. Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:

Very entertaining game Luigi's Mansion 2 is a very entertaining game. Capturing ghosts, solving puzzles, and exploring the mansions work great and remain enjoyable throughout the entire game. However, there are some changes compared to the first installment: now you explore not one large mansion but five. The game is also divided into missions to make it more playable on the 3DS. This is a plus if you want to quickly play a mission on the go, but if you want to play for a longer period, it's annoying to be interrupted constantly.
The story lasts about fifteen hours, and after that, you can spend a few more hours in the online multiplayer mode. Here, you hunt ghosts with three online players to earn money and upgrades. The multiplayer won't keep you busy for a long time, but it's fun for a few rounds.
Luigi's Mansion 2 is an adventure with enjoyable humor, smooth gameplay, good multiplayer, and plenty of content. Just a shame about that mission structure...Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:

A horror game with a touch of Luigi A challenging game full of creepy ghosts starring a mustached plumber, but this time it's not Mario, it's his brother, Luigi.

Great game that works well, but feels more like a to-do list than an adventure
In this game, you obviously play as Luigi with his vacuum cleaner again. However, due to the fragmented structure of the game, where each mansion is divided into small levels, it feels disjointed. You have much less of a feeling that you are really exploring a huge mansion. Precisely because of the small bite-sized levels, it feels like you are being pushed in a certain direction.
The original game may have been quite linear as well, but it didn't feel like it. It felt like one place where you were having an adventure. Where you wanted to explore every corner. This new game, on the other hand, feels like a checklist of tasks you're trying to complete. And after a few levels, I was done with it every session. Read more...
Do the controls work well? Definitely! Does it look fantastic? Absolutely! Especially in 3D! But the game feels limiting in its level design.
I would say: buy Luigi's Mansion 2 original. Hide. Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:

Ghost collecting One of the great things about Luigi's Mansion 2 is that you can vacuum up ghosts and look at them once you've caught them. I play this game with my little brother, but unfortunately, I can't get past "the source".Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:

Even better than the original Where I was already very satisfied with the remake of the original Luigi's Mansion, an even greater achievement has been made with this game.
While in the first installment of the series you searched through a mansion, here you traverse through a whole collection. Where the music in the previous game was nice, here it is downright infectious. And whereas before you were only armed with the Poltergust, now there are multiple gadgets to defend yourself against the most diverse range of ghosts.
A small downside to Luigi's Mansion 2 is that after completing the story, there is still little reason to continue playing. However, the positives undoubtedly outweigh this by far.Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:
8,2One of the Best on Nintendo 3DS This is a wonderful game. The memories I have of it are incredible. This is the 1st game I had bought myself. And I was very proud of it. But about the game itself. Luigi's Mansion 2 is a fun puzzle game with enjoyable opponents. You have 5 different mansions where you have to go back in each time for different tasks. Each mansion has 1 boss that is specially designed for that mansion. The game is not too difficult, so it's also fun for younger players. Furthermore, there is multiplayer in the form of Local Play and Online Play, the so-called ScareScraper, where you can discover and catch new ghosts with all your friends. I have played for hours online capturing ghosts with people online. It's definitely worth your money and I wouldn't miss out on this one.Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:

Nothing wrong with it In the first game, you play as Luigi who has won a mansion. He arranged to meet his brother Mario there, but Mario arrived early and was captured by King Boo. When you arrive, you encounter Professor E. Gadd. He gives you a kind of vacuum cleaner to catch ghosts with. You have to use it to rescue Mario from King Boo.
In this game (the second one), King Boo returns and shatters a purple moon into pieces. Professor E. Gadd had been living in Luigi's mansion for research. The ghosts used to be friendly, but because the moon has been shattered, they turn hostile. Luigi is then summoned by E. Gadd to defeat King Boo once again. Professor E. Gadd gives you a new type of vacuum cleaner with new gadgets to solve new puzzles.
So, it's a really fun game, but it can be challenging at times if you're a bit younger.Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:

Well done, Nintendo Luigi's Mansion 2 is a very enjoyable game and a nice sequel to the first one. The story is very clear and interesting. The game is well-filled with sucking up ghosts and spirits, battles, spooky moments, and jumpscare-like instances. The game controls are very good and the graphics are also fine, despite often being in a dark environment.
I think it's impressive that Nintendo has released a slightly more thrilling game, yet it has remained appealing to children as well.Luigi’s Mansion 2 Cijfer:
