LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars for the Nintendo 3DS provided me with a charming and playful experience that captures the unique style of the popular Star Wars: The Clone Wars series well. The game combines humour, puzzles, and action in a fun way, just as we expect from the LEGO franchise. Graphically, I found it impressive for a handheld, with detailed environments and smooth animations. However, I did notice that the loading times can be a bit long at times, which can be somewhat frustrating.
The levels in LEGO Star Wars III are diverse and creatively designed, keeping the gameplay fresh and engaging. Still, I sometimes struggled with the controls, which didn’t always feel smooth due to the small screen and limited number of buttons on the 3DS. This made certain actions a bit tricky to execute. A downside is the absence of co-op multiplayer, which was present in earlier versions and provided a lot of fun. That's a shame, as playing together is always enjoyable in a LEGO game.
