Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan was my first EO game, and coincidentally, this part is often referred to as the 'starter'. However, do not be mistaken; Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is, like all EO games, very difficult and challenging. Recklessness and laziness will cost you dearly.

You fight enemies and bosses in turn-based mode. You use skills that belong to a specific fighter class. By leveling up, you can unlock more skills. Later in the game, you can assign a second class, allowing you to combine qualities and create your ultimate fighters.
In addition to the refined battle system (battles can be engaging and profound), the game is very refreshing compared to its three predecessors because you can explore the land in a quasi-open-world mode. You can visit different mazes and caves at any time and in any order you want.
So, be prepared to die a lot and often have to start over. This is part of the learning curve. Fortunately, Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan also has a fantastic soundtrack to guide you through this. Hide. Cijfer:

This is an incredibly vast game that is definitely good. It's just really challenging. Not too challenging, but just challenging. You have to carefully consider how you approach everything.
There isn't really a story in Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, you do get a brief introduction but that's about it. At the beginning, you assemble a team and embark on the adventure with them. The adventure lasts a long time and doesn't get boring. I've already put in at least 25 hours and I'm still not bored!
