Nostalgic Beyblade action with limited variety
Just like during the first hype phase in my childhood, Beyblade: Evolution is all about collecting Beyblades, improving your skills, and competing in tournaments. I wasn't sure how physically launching your tops would translate to a small screen, but the gameplay is simple and accessible, with quick battles that are surprisingly fun to play. The graphics are decent, far from wow, and over time the "hey, this is quite fun" feeling quickly fades. The game doesn't offer much variety.
Are there still Beyblade fans among the youth these days? Or is it a thing of the past? For those who experienced the hype phase, it could still be quite enjoyable.
