A decent game that delivers what you'd expect from the genre
In Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy, you are dropped into a hostile area with a combat aircraft of your choice where you have to take down the enemy. This is done by completing missions, of which there are two different types: aerial combat and bombing runs on the mainland. This immediately provides a welcome variety in the game, as the gameplay is somewhat monotonous otherwise.
The flying itself is very smooth and looks very good, partly due to the display of 3D images. It would have been nice to have more control over the aircraft though. Fighter jets fly automatically and you only need to steer and fire/bomb.
All in all, Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy is a decent game and delivers what you'd expect from this genre.
